Principal's Message
"If you want to build a ship, don't herd people together to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea."

                                              Antoine De Saint - Exupery

This year marks the one hundred and fifth year of San Pedro High School.  In 1902, Marian Anderson, John Steinbeck and Charles Lindbergh were born and Bret Harte, Emile Zola and Lord Acton died.  Teddy Roosevelt was the President, the Teddy Bear was the hot new toy and Californians welcomed the first Rose Bowl to Pasadena and the first motion picture theatre to Los Angeles.

A lot has changed since then and things will continue to change here at San Pedro High School.  But one thing that hasn't changed is our dedication to provide the best education possible for the children of San Pedro.  The wonder before the immensity and richness of life, so beautifully expressed in the De Saint-Exupery quote above, is the true source of education, its gift and promise.  It is the ship we seek to build here at San Pedro High School.
