Community Service Hours
Each student enrolled in the Marine Science Magnet must complete a community service requirement.
- 25 hours per year, 5 of which must be marine science related
- Hours are due April 30 for 12th grade students. After April 30, there will be one and ONLY ONE additional turn in date which is June 21, 2010.
- A verification letter must accompany service hours done for a non-school sponsored activity on organization letterhead.
- Please keep a copy of your service hours!
- 9th - 11th grade students who do not turn in their service hours on June 1st will be assessed a 5-hour marine science penalty. 30 hours will be due the following June 1st. Service hours will not be accepted late!
