Air Force JROTC
The mission of the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer training Corps (JROTC) program is to provide comprehensive education and training programs to produce motivated leaders and better citizens for America. JROTC is a 4-year program providing citizenship training and aerospace knowledge for high school students. Enrollment is open to all 9th - 12th grade students. PE credit toward graduation is given to 9th and 10th grade students and elective credit toward graduation is provided to 11th and 12th grade students. There are three fields of study in JROTC including aerospace science, leadership education, and physical training & drill. A typical 4-year program includes:

Wood, Leadership & Drill Instructor LAUSD email: Send E-Mail Phone: (310) 221-0691 Air Force JROTC is completely free to every cadet. All materials and uniforms are issued free-of-charge. Every cadet is issued an Air Force JROTC uniform that is required wear at least one day a week during the school year. Also, each cadet is issued one set of physical training clothes to be worn on the twice-weekly physical training days. Cadets will also be issued their aerospace science and leadership education textbooks including corresponding workbooks. Uniforms and textbooks must be returned to JROTC at the end of each school year. However, cadets may keep their physical training clothes and workbooks. There ARE NO obligations of any sort for cadets who participate in Air Force JROTC. We do not recruit for the military and Air Force JROTC cadets DO NOT have any military obligation. |
